“On Giving Back –
People Making A Difference”
This page is very definitely a work in progress! I have no idea how many organizations will find their place in this list. So… off we go!
A few notes first.
- The listings here are personal. Simply put, for some reason or another I appreciate what they are doing and wanted to include something on my site that has to do with what is being termed as “giving back” or contributing to the lives of others in a variety of ways.
- The list is not meant to be inclusive in any way.
- There is no order in terms of priority.
I consider myself to be a very blessed man and would be thrilled if someone who stopped by my site decided to contribute in any manner to any of the organizations listed below. Some will have videos and some not. And, some may not because I am so far from being a “techie” it borders on being hilarious!
May you and those you love be blessed in all good things for all good reasons,
Lee
P.S. In view of what I mentioned above about being personal and in no particular order of importance, I do not engage in responses such as: ”Why did you or did not not include this organization, Lee?” or “Well, did you know this about the organization you mentioned?” – anything similar. In other words, I place these here with no intention of entering into any “prove” or “debate” discussions. I trust you understand! Thank you.
World Vision
My wife and I became acquainted with World Vision years ago and have been fortunate enough to be able to sponsor a child through them for years. In fact, on the day of this writing I looked at the girl’s picture on our refrigerator and thought “Wow. We’ve watched her grow up!”

Samaritan’s Purse
Here is just one of the many statements describing the varied work of this organization:
“Our emergency relief programs provide desperately needed assistance to victims of natural disaster, war, disease, and famine. As we offer food, water, and temporary shelter, we meet critical needs and give people a chance to rebuild their lives.”
I have always appreciated their quick response to meet the needs of people all over this world. In fact, one of my previous students served with them as a part of their US Disaster Relief volunteer efforts.

Dr. Mani Children Heart Foundation
I have interacted personally with Dr. Mani for a number of years and appreciate him both as an internet marketer and as a person dedicated to saving the lives of children with heart defects. Here is a brief description from his website:
“The Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation is a non-profit entity created to raise awareness about Congenital Heart Defects and to raise funds to sponsor life-saving heart surgery for children from poor families suffering from congenital heart disease.”
“We have raised over $137,200 from 1,020 donors, and used the money to sponsor heart operations for 70 children with congenital heart defects (upto May 2010).”

International Justice Mission
I became acquainted with this organization a while back and, simply, was impressed. From the website:
- “International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to ensure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to promote functioning public justice systems.”

Not For Sale Campaign
Like the one I became acquainted with this organization a while back and, simply, was impressed. From the website:
- “Not For Sale is a Campaign of students, artists, entrepreneurs, people of faith, athletes, law enforcement officers, politicians, social workers, skilled professionals, and all justice seekers united to fight the global slave trade and end human trafficking.
- The Campaign aims to recruit, educate, and mobilize an international grassroots social movement that effectively combats human trafficking and slavery through “Smart Activism”. It deploys innovative solutions for every individual to re-abolish slavery — in their own backyards and across the globe.”
