Renegade Professional eBook Contest with Jerry Chen: Using Opportunity and Personal Motivation To Keep Moving Us Forward

Certain things come along where they present a winning combination for us: an opportunity that comes our way which also complements aspects of life that motivate us.

This was the “blend” that was presented to me recently when I came across the ebook contest put on by the Renegade Professional community of which you know I am a part (And, yes, I am a proud affiliate as you know).

In watching the video you might ask yourself such questions as:

• What can I learn from Lee’s example about the part that motivation plays in terms of our personal and professional performance?
• In terms of my journey as an attraction marketer, what place do I see product creation as having in that journey?  Anything for me?

Takeaways

• Four points were made at the end of the video as simple self development reminders: did any one of those four points strike home in any way?
• Have you ever thought about creating an ebook or product of some sort? Could this simple testimony provide for you enough motivation to take the next step?
• Should decide to capitalize on one of your personal motivations to make the best next step in your forward progress, what would that motivation be?

Attraction Marketing Excellence and Action Producing Emails

While grazing through my list of emails yesterday, one caught my attention for two reasons.

First, I had interacted with the author previously. And, second, because of the title.

After skimming through the email, I ventured elsewhere for a few moments only to find myself returning to same location for a second round of investigation.  At which time I:

1. Took a more careful read of the email.
2. Thought about what I read a bit more.
3. Clicked on the link in email.
4. And followed that link with the suggested action (which was signing up as an affiliate).

Why Did I Do That?

During my next round of reflection, I asked myself from an internet marketing point of view: “Why did I do what I just did?”

And here were my answers:

• Because I the email impressed me as sincere.
• The brevity helped. It was not one of those “read 16 tons of pages and what do you get?” emails.
• It was far from hype.  You understand what I mean. It was not: “Should you fail to take this next step of action, count yourself among the countless others who in doing so later found themselves screaming ‘I repent’ only to discover that their desperate cries lie unheard at the feet of this god-of-all-internet-gurus.”
• It contained a personal story/testimony of how the resource had proven helpful to their network marketing business.

In Terms Of Attraction Marketing Excellence, What Did I Learn About Action Producing Emails?

In essence, the process proved to be a good review for me. And while certainly not life changing from an email marketing perspective, my self review proved to be beneficial because it reinforced the basics for me.

Much like an athlete keeps returning to the fundamentals of the game, my observations brought me back to several email marketing fundamentals.

• The power of Brevity.
• The power of being Personable.
• The simple power of reflecting Sincerity.
• The power of Sharing — especially what’s helpful.
• The power of Stories and Testimonies.
• The power of Suggested Actions to take.
