Tweeting For Influence-Tweeting For Excellence

Excited About Sharing!

Tweeting For Influence.
Tweeting For Excellence.

While reflecting on several thought provoking words that had just passed through my mental grid of the moment, I wrote the following:

“May our words bring healing, our thoughts peace, and our actions harmony. © Lee Wise”

I then…

  • Read them again,
  • Noted my “Yes, I like that!” response,
  • Decided they were good enough to share,
  • And sent them out as a Tweet.

Question: Why Did I Send Out That Tweet?

The answer to that question lies in the process found below:

  • One: I found myself in a reflective mood.
  • Two: My reflective mood led me to more of a creative writing mode.
  • Three: The right words came at the right time. I felt what some might term “in the flow.”
  • Four: I sensed a desire share what I wrote.
  • Five: So I shared it!

Hold On, This Will Make Sense

I listed the five points above for the purpose of helping you “unpack” the meaning of what I will share with you in this brief article.

But for now the point that I wish to make is that in essence I shared my “content” not only because of the process named above but because it:

  • Represented a segment of who Lee Wise is,
  • And it allowed me to express my desire to influence people in a positive manner.

In other words, it provided for me a form of positive self expression for a very personal reason.

Said In Another Way…

  • Who I was,
  • And who I desired to become,
  • Prompted me to fulfill in a very small way a purpose of mine.

In other words…

  • I capitalized on my desires and talents (who I was),
  • Seized the moment to develop my writing skills (who I desired to become),
  • Felt that the words could influence someone in a positive manner (thereby fulfilling my purpose to be a positive influence in the world,
  • And I sent out my Tweet.

“So, Lee: What’s This Got To Do With Me?”

Great question, and a relatively simple answer.

I wanted to prompt your thinking about deciding on purpose to express who you are through your Tweets while continuing by design to be positive influence in the world as you do.

You may be already doing that, I realize.  But then again you may not or you may not be where you might like to be.

I remain far from any sign that reads “Twitter Marketing Guru Here.”

Do I Tweet in an attempt promote various resources that could allow me to experience some level of financial gain?  Of course.  After all, I am an author, coach and consider myself to be an attraction marketer!

Which means, of course, that I Tweet in order to:

  • Promote.
  • Influence.
  • And develop my skills as a writer.

But not necessarily in that order.  Quite honestly, the latter two dominate a great deal of my “mental Tweet time.”  (Am I the last and greatest example of Tweeting for influence or using the resource as a tool for developing personal excellence?  Of course not, but I try!)

Something To Think About…

I know this post will not capture the attention of many, many folks: it’s simply “not where they are.”

But I also feel that a few folks will identify with the basic concept of…

Utilizing a common tool for the purpose of enhancing their efforts to influence others in a positive way, in their own unique manner:

  • Spurned on by their own motivation.
  • Inspired by their own dreams.
  • And challenged by the thought of “doing a bit more for a few more people.”

That’s It!

Should you feel that my simple post complemented a desire or your own or prompted some additional thoughts about giving to others from your heart, it would be neat to hear from you.

By the way, my “Tweet” handle is @Lee_Wise

The Power Of Affirmation In Business And Life

The Affirming Power Of Affirmation

“The Power Of Affirmation

In Business And Life”

The Life Affirming Power Of Affirmation

Yes, I know I used two of the same concepts together: by design.  I relate it as such because we instinctively understand, need and relate to “the life affirming power of affirmation.”

May I offer one among many quotes on affirmation?  It may help to think about affirmation in this manner:

Affirmation

Gifting the sense of worth to people

by creative design and purpose-filled resolve.

© Lee Wise

I would like you to keep that quote in mind — and your own sense of what being affirmed means to you and those around you — as you read through the very brief listing of what I am terming “I can” statements of affirmation.

My reason for sharing these brief points with you will serve serve as a…

“Review of the obvious
for the obvious to rule”

And what on earth do I mean by that statement?

Answer: I mean it as a creative statement to stay with you for the purpose of using the obvious power of affirmation to rule, or take place, as your heart leads you to do so while reading through the list below.

“I Can Statements Of Affirmation”

As you read through the following statements, I know you will tend to modify, change, think of ideas, and possibly reflect on your past or dream about the future.

That’s the point!

Your perspective is your life.  Business. Home life. Parenting. Attraction marketing. Relating. Coaching. Training. Influencing. Working at home.  Educational pursuits.  The whole enchilada to to speak!

Read. Reflect. And respond as your heart directs.

Now on the the “I can” statements of affirmation.

  • I can affirm potential.
  • I can affirm a person’s “first steps.”
  • I can affirm abilities.
  • I can affirm choices.
  • I can affirm giving or encouraging.
  • I can affirm positive patterns of behavior.
  • I can affirm community service.
  • I can affirm progress in anything.
  • I can affirm extra effort.
  • I can affirm patterns of communication.
  • I can affirm helping, healing or caring.
  • I can affirm positive thinking and living.
  • I can affirm heart attitudes that affirm others.
  • I can affirm when people “Pay It Forward.”
  • I can affirm a forgiving spirit
  • I can affirm teamwork and selfless energy.

You Got The Picture!

Embracing a “personal affirmation perspective,” you can use its life giving power to affirm…

  • A variety of things
  • In a variety of ways
  • For a variety of reasons

And you can do so in business and the business of life.

Additional Questions To Prime The Proverbial Pump

  • How has the power of affirmation — or lack of the same — influenced your life?
  • Are you training others?  Does anyone on your team need to be affirmed?
  • This next week, how might you put on your “affirming eyes” for the purpose of enhancing the lives of any of the ones closest to your heart?
  • What values could you affirm this week (or in the future) in the lives of people?  How might you do that?
  • The subtitle of this site reads “Harnessing the power purpose and skill development for social marketing excellence.”  Should you be an attraction marketer in any way, shape or form, how might you use the power of affirmation in your own business world this week or in the next?

One More Time

Affirmation

Several “brain food” questions for those on the business side of life:

  • What about any of your blogging efforts: could you develop and share your own, personalized thoughts on the value of affirmation in business or what I so often term as “the business of life”?

Attraction Marketing Excellence – Common Sense Insights On Climbing The Success Ladder

The Ladder Of Success

Today I am sharing with you a guest post from Natasha Nassar.  Recently she engaged her readers regarding some personal thoughts on the topic of being a successful business person.  In her article entitled Climbing The Ladder Of Success, Natasha’s story woven in with her insights made for some great reading in my mind.

Before Your Read…

  • Settle down.
  • Relax.
  • Take in the story involved.
  • And see how you could help yourself or others who may find themselves somewhere on the playing fields of their own business adventures.

Here ya go…

Climbing The Ladder Of Success
by Natasha Nassar

Where are you situated on the ladder of success?

Are you jumping from the bottom rung of one ladder to the bottom rung of another ladder, or are you climbing up?

Mr. Glankler And The Success Ladder

A close friend of my family, and the co-founder of one of the oldest and largest law firms in Memphis passed away a few years ago. He was one of the most well-respected individuals in all of Memphis, and I would venture to say in Tennessee. He was a “great” man, a term I reserve for people who dedicate their lives to making a difference in the lives of others and living their lives in an honorable way.

I learned so much from Mr. Glankler over the years, and a lot of it came in the form of mottos. One in particular, on the topic of success, is so powerful that I just had to share it with you. He said:

“The ladder of success

is only crowded at the bottom, so keep climbing, but with honor”

When you think about it, everyone who joins a business does so with the intention of succeeding. When they do so, they are at the bottom of the success ladder.

The statistics don’t lie. The vast majority will stay at the bottom of the ladder, while only a small percentage will climb up to the top of the ladder and attain “success”.

For the most part, the difference in the person at the top and the person at the bottom isn’t that one is a “super recruiter” while the others are simply doomed to fail. Not all “successful” people are 100% extroverts blessed with the gift of selling.

So, what makes the difference in success and failure?

They Don’t Quit

As the old saying goes, “Successful people do what unsuccessful people are unwilling to do”.

The successful people don’t quit. No matter what is thrown their way, they continue to climb the ladder.

The “rest” crowding the bottom of the ladder CHOOSE to be there.

  • They make the choice to remain at the bottom every time they choose to watch TV over attending a training seminar or reading a book to improve their business.
  • They make a choice to remain at the bottom every time they read a great training book, and then choose to leave it at that: instead of taking the action steps recommended in the book.
  • They make that choice when they decide to spend their valuable time researching whether or not their company is doomed for failure instead of spending their time building their business.
  • They make the choice to stay at the bottom when they choose to quit at the first sign of adversity.

Sadly, those who hop from business to business THINK they are hopping “up” the ladder, when in fact, they are hopping from the bottom rung of one ladder to the bottom rung of another.

They Grow In Honor

Another important aspect of Mr. Glankler’s motto is moving up the ladder with honor.

Mr. Glankler was a true man of honor. He was wounded on the island of Peleliu fighting for our country at the age of 17. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his valor. He was a brilliant trial-lawyer who dedicated his life to helping those who couldn’t defend themselves. Even after he retired in 2004 at the age of 78, he kept a watchful eye on justice by parading the banner of injustice in regard to predatory lending. He helped to pass the Predatory Lending Bill in Tennessee.

In everything he did, Mr. Glankler conducted himself honorably. This is what made him a great man.

That’s why it’s of the utmost importance to me (and hopefully to you) to grow your business in an honorable way.

  • Don’t hype the opportunity to prospects,
  • Don’t fudge the time and effort it takes to succeed in this business,
  • Don’t exaggerate income potential.
  • Don’t value the power of the buck over the well-being of another individual.

If you know someone is in a desperate financial situation, I wouldn’t go for the sale if you know they don’t have the ability for whatever reason, to do what it takes to succeed…unless you let them know on the front end that it takes time and effort to get the money rolling in.  I would (and I have) told them to get a job first if possible.

Help steer them in the direction of an opportunity to perhaps start for free, and then purchase the “deluxe package” once they have generated enough money.

And most of all, if you know the business isn’t a right fit, don’t be afraid to say “no” to the prospect. At the end of the day, you’ll feel better for doing the honorable thing.

The Moral Of My Story

The moral of the story: continue to do the daily tasks necessary to build your business, and I’ll look forward to seeing you at the top of the ladder of success!

For those of us involved in network or attraction marketing, I decided to include a handful of my responses to her fine points:

  • It was personal: Her observations, appreciation and applications came from within.
  • The power of story was evident. We love stories!
  • It was character based. High standards were lifted up.

Renegade Professional eBook Contest with Jerry Chen

Renegade Professional eBook Contest with Jerry Chen: Using Opportunity and Personal Motivation To Keep Moving Us Forward

Certain things come along where they present a winning combination for us: an opportunity that comes our way which also complements aspects of life that motivate us.

This was the “blend” that was presented to me recently when I came across the ebook contest put on by the Renegade Professional community of which you know I am a part (And, yes, I am a proud affiliate as you know).

In watching the video you might ask yourself such questions as:

  • What can I learn from Lee’s example about the part that motivation plays in terms of our personal and professional performance?
  • In terms of my journey as an attraction marketer, what place do I see product creation as having in that journey?  Anything for me?

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

Takeaways

  • Four points were made at the end of the video as simple self development reminders: did any one of those four points strike home in any way?
  • Have you ever thought about creating an ebook or product of some sort? Could this simple testimony provide for you enough motivation to take the next step?
  • Should decide to capitalize on one of your personal motivations to make the best next step in your forward progress, what would that motivation be?

Attraction Marketing Excellence: Renegade Professional For Those Over Sixty

Renegade Professional For Those Over Sixty — Is This For You? (A Video)

You are over sixty as I am.  In fact, I am 64.

And you are possibly thinking thoughts such as these at this part of your life journey:

  • What about internet marketing — could this be for me?
  • I am interested in a variety of directions I could head at my age and I would like to find a fit: after all, I enjoy continuing to learn, grow and develop.
  • I am kinda worn at this whole internet marketing idea: not totally worn out, but worn.  I wonder about if something might be a good fit for me?
  • I’ve heard about Renegade Professional and Renegade University, but I am just not sure about them — I wonder what they are all about.

Should thoughts or questions like the one be in your mind, then I would encourage you to take the next step and watch the video below.  It is intended to help define whether or not Renegade Professional might be a fit for you from my distinct perspective.

A Hard Sell?

Absolutely not: just simple benchmarks from my way of thinking as to whether or not Renegade Professional could be something you relate to at this stage of your life.  It is so obvious that nothing is for everyone, right?  It’s only right if it happens to be what is right for us at the time.

Yes, I am over 60.  In fact, at the time of this writing I am 64 and I am a very happy member of the Renegade Professional community.

So, review the video and you may have some interactions at the conclusion (see below)

Enjoy

Simple Questions…

  • What did I hear my heart saying as I listened to the video?  Should I be responding in any way — including a “No?”  (After all, it could be good, but just not the right time!)
  • As I was taking everything in, did I find myself thinking, “I’ll bet ___________ would really enjoy hearing this person’s approach.”
  • Thinking in terms of my own learning process — somewhat apart from the idea of whether or not Renegade Pro is for me — what did I take away with me in terms of my own pursuit of success in life?
  • What was that email address Lee gave to contact him?  Answer: lee.renegadepro(at)gmail(dot)com.  (Remember, NO offers)
  • Did I learn anything relative to the art of communicating on the web that could be helpful for me?

Attraction Marketing Excellence: A How To Facebook Example of Excellence

Tips On Using Facebook

While doing some surfing I ran across a very helpful video from Mari Smith on tips for using Facebook which you will see below.  I thought what she said was short and helpful and decided to share it here.

What I Appreciated…

  • How brief the instructions were.
  • The clarity of the instructions and the production itself.
  • The upbeat nature of how it was presented.

My “Self Development Takeaways”

  • The ever obvious: striving for excellence in what we do.
  • Realizing the importance of communicating clearly and “naturally” if and whenever we can on the net (and anywhere really).
  • The value of being positive and reflecting a positive attitude whenever and however we can.
  • The value of striving to provide useful, hands on information.

__________________________

And just in case you were wondering… yes, I am an affiliate with Mari Smith but the link above with her name is NOT my affiliate link to her site :) . I was viewing the video myself today, thought it was helpful, and after viewing it decided it would be a good resource for people here.  If for some reason or another you would want to check out the resource with my affiliate link, it would be here.  Otherwise, enjoy your stay!

An Inspirational Quote By Lee Wise — On Caring

An Inspirational Quote By Lee Wise — On Caring

Don’t allow the simplicity of this quote to run by you without a measure of thought.  While obvious, you and I recognize…

  • The importance of caring in terms of our own character development.
  • The importance of learning how to reflect genuine care to those in our internet marketing pursuits.
  • The importance of caring with regards to our personal and family lives.
  • And how all of the above tie together in terms of our own personal success.

Taking It All In…

  • What does the subject of caring bring to mind for me as I plan my business week?
  • As I think about caring for others, who would immediately come to mind in my personal or professional life that could use a bit of my “caring time”?
  • If I were to reflect on the most meaningful ways others have cared for me in my life, what might I add in my journal entry regarding those ways?

Renegade University

Affiliate Notations: I am affiliate of many, if not most, of the links and products that I suggest, recommend, or refer to on this site. For example, when I refer to the resources Renegade University and Renegade Professional, I am an affiliate of the organization that supplies those resources for the benefit of so many people. Also, if you see a banner on my site you can almost count on me be an affiliate of that service or product. By way of an example, the banner for the QuanSite that I use and very highly recommend: I am a very happy affiliate. It’s really the best of both worlds: I enjoy being free enough to not only recommend a product or service that others may benefit from but also to have the potential of earning funds from the same resource. Cool.
