Staying On The Grateful Side Of Life

Staying Grateful!

Staying On The Grateful Side Of Life

Deciding to take advantage of the weather and the convenience of my laptop computer, I ventured out to the deck in the back of our home, opened up the file for this year’s journal, and proceeded to copy and past this phrase into its proper place:

My gratefulness journal for today…

Several moments later my entry looked similar to this one:

My gratefulness journal for today…

  • So grateful for Sherry… same “song,” millionth verse, lol!
  • I think I will say “the deck” again.  I decided to come out and record a few things because I understand in an hour or two thunderstorms may come our way.
  • Music.
  • Very grateful for Coaching Cognition.
  • The Lord.  So “simple,” but where on earth would I be without Him?

Enriched Because Of A Small, “Make It Happen” Choice

Several months earlier I made the choice to create the phrase “My gratefulness journal for today” with a goal of completing a personal gratefulness exercise at least once a week.

I am happy for my choice. Actually, I would use the term enriched.  Enriched because of…

  • The simplicity involved in making it happen.
  • The rewards of doing so.

On The Value Of Being Grateful

Not long ago I not only prayed this prayer but wrote it down for others to see:

Father, may my eyes see

what my heart should in gratefulness feel this day.

PrayingSimple by © Lee Wise

I share this with you here not because I expect you to approach gratefulness from a faith based perspective, but to state how I personally feel about our need to cultivate gratefulness in our lives.

Gratefulness, in my mind, touches so many aspects of who we are and who we choose to become.

For instance, I did a search for some of my own thoughts on the subject and below may be found only several of the ideas I created in recent days:

  • Wisdom – embedding images of beauty in the mind by constantly revisiting them with a joyful and grateful heart. © Lee Wise
  • As encouragement inspires hope so gratefulness cultivates the expressive heart of an encourager. © Lee Wise
  • In gratefulness I see better and in seeing better I acquire more for which I am grateful. © Lee Wise

Note that my thoughts about encouragement, wisdom and perspective found their way into what I might call my own sphere of “gratefulness thinking.”

Yes, And Your Point Is…?

My point…

Our decisions to cultivate and promote the gratefulness habit in ourselves and in the lives of other people are decisions that count for something good in a world where not all is good all of the time.

  • Our “gratefulness habit decisions” count for us,
  • And they count for those we influence.

Okay, Lee.  How Would You Define “The Gratefulness Habit”?

Let’s try looking at the practice of being grateful as something like this:

The Gratefulness Habit

The decisions I make to see all the good I can,

As consistently as I possibly can,

For the internal health of myself

And those within my circle of influence.

© Lee Wise

What It Does

In my opinion, the ongoing development of the gratefulness habit can:

  • Help us bring things into perspective.
  • Help us … or “force” us… to stop and look at things in a positive light.
  • Slow us down and cause us to push our internal pause button and to do so for a good reason.
  • Prompt us to look outside of ourselves instead of only at ourselves.
  • Lead us to others for the purpose of helping or thanking them in some way.

Questions For Influence.  Questions For Life.

  • Should your child (older or younger) want to know how you personally stay on the gratefulness side of life, how would you answer them?
  • On the way to an internet marketing conference a friend of yours — one of the speakers — calls and says: “Say, I need someone to fill in a ‘bullet point’ ten minutes time frame on a topic to help everyone: at topic like gratefulness for instance.  I know it’s short notice, but can you step in and fill in the gap for me?”  Assuming you answer in the affirmative, what would you say?
  • While interacting with your personal coach about a seeming gap between your goals and your reality, she states: “Now tell me, what positive points are you seeing in your life right now.”  How would you respond?
  • What part does gratefulness play in your life, business, or in your mental or physical health?  Assuming you could record a great variety of ways — and assuming the question began your thinking — does anyone come to mind you should share any of your responses with?
  • Do the important people in your life — those for whom you would say you are extremely grateful — would you also say they most assuredly would know of your feelings?

Attraction Marketing Excellence: Renegade Professional For Those Over Sixty

Renegade Professional For Those Over Sixty — Is This For You? (A Video)

You are over sixty as I am.  In fact, I am 64.

And you are possibly thinking thoughts such as these at this part of your life journey:

  • What about internet marketing — could this be for me?
  • I am interested in a variety of directions I could head at my age and I would like to find a fit: after all, I enjoy continuing to learn, grow and develop.
  • I am kinda worn at this whole internet marketing idea: not totally worn out, but worn.  I wonder about if something might be a good fit for me?
  • I’ve heard about Renegade Professional and Renegade University, but I am just not sure about them — I wonder what they are all about.

Should thoughts or questions like the one be in your mind, then I would encourage you to take the next step and watch the video below.  It is intended to help define whether or not Renegade Professional might be a fit for you from my distinct perspective.

A Hard Sell?

Absolutely not: just simple benchmarks from my way of thinking as to whether or not Renegade Professional could be something you relate to at this stage of your life.  It is so obvious that nothing is for everyone, right?  It’s only right if it happens to be what is right for us at the time.

Yes, I am over 60.  In fact, at the time of this writing I am 64 and I am a very happy member of the Renegade Professional community.

So, review the video and you may have some interactions at the conclusion (see below)

Enjoy

Taking It All In

Simple Questions…

  • What did I hear my heart saying as I listened to the video?  Should I be responding in any way — including a “No?”  (After all, it could be good, but just not the right time!)
  • As I was taking everything in, did I find myself thinking, “I’ll bet ___________ would really enjoy hearing this person’s approach.”
  • Thinking in terms of my own learning process — somewhat apart from the idea of whether or not Renegade Pro is for me — what did I take away with me in terms of my own pursuit of success in life?
  • What was that email address Lee gave to contact him?  Answer: lee.renegadepro(at)gmail(dot)com.  (Remember, NO offers)
  • Did I learn anything relative to the art of communicating on the web that could be helpful for me?

Attraction Marketing Excellence: A Facebook Tutorial On Tagging

I apprciate being able to learn things from others, and today I listened to the video below by Diyanna Alcheva that I am sure you will appreciate.
My suggestion: review the video first and then return to “take in” some of the thoughts I have recorded below by responding in one way or another to my ideas, insights or questions.
Enjoy!
I appreciate, as you say “simple but powerful strategy”
What I Appreciated
1.  It is short.
2.  It is simple.
3.  It is helpful.
4.  The style was pleasant.
Concepts This Demonstrates (in my mind)
It demonstates the power of sharing our skills.
It demonstates the power of leveraging.
Related Questions
Could you make a short tutorial or give any level of instruction that may help others today?
Remember, the nature of the instruction does not need to be that which is making something complicated simple, it also involes sharing what is simple and doable by someone who does not know: (1) how do do what you are doing; or (2) that the simple thing you are sharing even exists for them to take advantage of.
Think of it this way…
Make the complicated, simple: Yes, that is always helpful!
But helping others make simple discoveries can be just as useful!
Digging A Bit Deeper
Reflecting on Diyanna’s video and/or my brief comments on this post, what one idea could you take with you?
If you are great at the art of mastering “the little things” in your chosen field of endeavor, who could you share it with for the purpose of spreading your wisdom and influence?

Lee Wise Renegade Professional – My Story

Lee Wise, Renegade Professional: My Story

Below you will find my testimony regarding my experience with the Renegade Professional community of which I am a part.  It will serve as an expansion of my thoughts that are currently on my home page.

Briefly, my experience so far has been great!  Seriously, I am enjoying the ride so-to-speak.  In addition to what I share on the video, I would say that my feelings of “community” with the group continue to grow.  As I am now involved in their coaching program and getting to know the “Renegade Crew” more as time goes on, I would say that my relationship with them grows deeper as well.  I do appreciate them, their values and what I anticipate to be their future contributions to the online and offline marketing world.

Should you be on a similar journey as mine, I hope that the video will prove helpful to you.

Renegade University

Affiliate Notations: I am affiliate of many, if not most, of the links and products that I suggest, recommend, or refer to on this site. For example, when I refer to the resources Renegade University and Renegade Professional, I am an affiliate of the organization that supplies those resources for the benefit of so many people. Also, if you see a banner on my site you can almost count on me be an affiliate of that service or product. By way of an example, the banner for the QuanSite that I use and very highly recommend: I am a very happy affiliate. Here's a "safe" way to look at it: just consider links affiliate related. Of course, many are not, but just view it that way for disclosure's sake. It’s really the best of both worlds: I enjoy being free enough to not only recommend a product or service that others may benefit from but also to have the potential of earning funds from the same resource. Cool.
