“Nine Reasons You May Want To Blog”

First Thoughts…

This will more than likely go down as the shortest post that I’ve ever done, lol!  I hope that some people who read it add their positive input or reasons why they have blogged.

At any rate, here we go.  My…

Nine Reasons You May Want To Blog!

One: Blog To gain Confidence In Writing

Two: Blog For A Cause You Believe In

Three: Blog As A Form Of Self Expression (A journal for instance).

Four: Blog As An An Additional Means Of Teaching Or Instructing Others

Five: Blog As One Of Many Tools To Use In Your Internet Marketing

Six: Blog To Develop Your Video Marketing Skills

Seven: Blog As A Part Of Your Social Media Discipline (i.e. sharing with others)

Eight: Blog As One Of Many Forms Of Self Development (i.e. developing a positive habit, using it as an excuse to learn more about a subject and record what you learn, etc.)

Nine: Blog To Learn About Blogging!

That’s It For Now!

I may add to this post since it truly was developed very quickly.  I thought about “Why to blog,” started writing, created the list, found a picture I liked, and posted it!

Would you add any reasons to blog?  And positive thoughts?

All The Very Best To You And Those You Care For

I hope that whenever you stop by to read this brief post that it “finds you” in a place where you and those you love are experiencing a happy and meaningful time.

Finding Simple Beauty In A Not So Simple World

Simple Beauty

Simple Beauty In A Not So Simple World

Getting ready to create the blog post of the decade, you pause longer than normal and realize the reality of one of those “not so good” moments.  Nothin’ going quite right, and nothin’ going extremely well either: including that best blog post in recent history!

Then again, during another one of life many “seasonal moments,” you begin not only to create that blog post but, journal, put the final touches on that marketing funnel, and begin planning a great time out with the family!

What Do These Two Examples Have In Common?

Answer: For the most part, nothing except you and how you are perceiving and responding to life during any one of those “seasonal moments” as I termed them.

The word perception or perspective is what I would like to camp on in this brief post. I mentioned that for the most the common denominator in my fictional examples was “you” and your perceptions of the moment.

True.

But within the scenes depicted above, I believe that something else — somewhere — most likely stood close by.  And that “something” was a touch of simplistic beauty.

  • A flower, a leaf changing color or even a sunrise?
  • Maybe a person in the next room who loves and appreciates you?
  • A gift from a child near the computer?  A special gift with words of love on it?
  • Background music designed to cheer, uplift or give creative ideas playing in the background?

Finding Simple Beauty

Reflect on these statements — including your own variations of how you might rephrase them or your ideas concerning beauty that may visit your heart:

On Discovering Beauty…

In seeking beauty to discover

I create beauty to be found.

© Lee Wise

On Contributing Beauty To The World…

Many aspects of life may be far from beautiful

but in choosing to seek, find and create beauty

we contribute ours to the world.

© Lee Wise

So very often we see that which we desire to see.  Our perspective shapes our decisions, causes us to act in certain ways and defines exactly how we will listen to others.
My purpose in this post is quite simple, really: to give us an “excuse” to see the beauty in the world around us this day.
Not necessarily every day: just today (or as soon as you decide).  And to that end I would like it to be an encouraging post for you to read and respond to.

I Will Begin

I am going to do what I would like you to do.

I am creating this post at home.  It is now 10:11 p.m. Nothing special going on and, thankfully, nothing tragic.  But I am going to list at least ten “beautiful somethings” immediately. No, I have not prepared for this.  Here goes…

  1. The love of my wife for me.
  2. The joy I felt in watching some sort of smaller bird at our bird feeder today.
  3. Knowing that my daughter and son-in-law along with their children are enjoying a time at the beach.
  4. A picture of my wife and I sitting on the table near me: a picture of us cutting our wedding cake!
  5. The realization of Christ being with me as I write this post.
  6. The beauty of being free here in America.
  7. The memory of two of my children stopping by to just share life with my wife and I recently: like yesterday and today!
  8. The fact that I did not need my third back surgery which I thought might have to take place within the past month.
  9. Pictures.  The simple beauty of pictures.  I thought of that because I just loaded the picture on this post.
  10. Colors.  When I do take time to notice the variety of colors around me, I do love it.  I love being able to see and notice colors.

You might be asking: “I wonder if he really did that?”  Yes, I did! And I can tell you that, honestly, I enjoyed the process.  A smile did find its way to my face, and I am glad I took the time to do so.

Your Turn

When you have the time — or right now —  why not take this “see the beauty” suggestion and immediately record 10 “Beautiful Somethings.”?  Its a matter of perspective. It is one way of “finding simple beauty in a not so simple world.”

  1. The first one for you would be?
  2. Next?
  3. How about the 3rd?
  4. Number four is?
  5. Five and you are half way there.
  6. Six.  Can you believe you are that far?
  7. Seven.  Just three more.
  8. Yes, you may have to think a bit: that’s fine.  Take the time and enjoy.
  9. What would bring a smile for number nine?
  10. Ten!  Yes!  Victory!

Taking Control Of Our Minds

I Will Take Control

I Will Take Control Of My Mind

I tend to read books slow at times…

  • Reflecting
  • Learning
  • Taking Notes
  • Applying

And, lately, I’ve been returning to Napoleon Hill’s Keys To Positive Thinking: 10 Steps To Health, Wealth and Success by Napoleion Hill and MichaelJ. Ritt. Jr.

And I’d like to share with my readers this “creed” from the book that I have totally enjoyed. Naturally, we need to adjust things to our own frame of mind, belief systems, etc., but I am sure you may quickly find your own applications.  Of course, I may help in that process with a few questions :)

Here’s what I would term the affirmation from the book:

  • I believe my mind is my own.
  • I believe I can take possession of my own mind.
  • I believe I can direct and control my emotions, moods, feelings, intellect, tendencies, attitudes, passions, and habits with the intention of developing a positive mental attitude.
  • I will develop a positive mental attitude.

Obviously, taking charge of our own minds for our own reasons — whether for attraction marketing, home business, family development, personal growth, or any other area of our personal or professional lives — is crucial.

Making It Yours

As I mention above, you may not be in agreement with all of the thoughts, word choices, etc. but I would imagine you could design your own. You might ask yourself:

  • What wording would I change?
  • How could I say it in my way, from my heart, to use for my purposes?

And, then, personally may want to decide how you could bring whatever you create to the forefront of your life in a way that would be meaningful to you?

  • Make a quote and post somewhere.
  • How about a “sticky note” with that computer program you have?
  • Possibly in your journal?
  • Etc.

Yep, Go Ahead and Share!

And your thoughts or quick tips are?

Did you find this helpful, inspiring or simply a good reminder?  If so, why not share it?  Bring someone else in one the blessing.

All the best to you and those you love this day!

Personal Development Skills For Attraction Marketing Excellence (Part Three)

Personal Development Skills For Attraction Marketing Excellence (Part Three)

Do you relate to any of the following? (If so, this brief video could be a boost for you)

  • “I am trying to pull it together with internet marketing, but I find myself running all over the place and I am a bit on the worn side of life.”
  • “I running more than I would like lately and I seem to not have time to think.”
  • “I just love all aspects of personal development: pretty much you name it, and I like it!”
  • “I am learning — and want to learn more — about the whole subject of attraction marketing.”

Taking It All In

  • “You were talking to me on that one, Lee.  I need to reflect on what you were saying and take action.” Question: what actions do you feel you should take today, tomorrow or right now?
  • Regarding the topic dealt with in the video, does anyone come to mind that would be encouraged (or need) to hear it?
  • Stopping long enough to listen to my heart after listening to this video, what am I hearing? Do I need to take more time to pause, reflect and consider anything?

Go Ahead And Share!

  • Any positive feedback?

An Inspirational Quote By Lee Wise — On Caring

An Inspirational Quote By Lee Wise — On Caring

Don’t allow the simplicity of this quote to run by you without a measure of thought.  While obvious, you and I recognize…

  • The importance of caring in terms of our own character development.
  • The importance of learning how to reflect genuine care to those in our internet marketing pursuits.
  • The importance of caring with regards to our personal and family lives.
  • And how all of the above tie together in terms of our own personal success.

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

Taking It All In…

  • What does the subject of caring bring to mind for me as I plan my business week?
  • As I think about caring for others, who would immediately come to mind in my personal or professional life that could use a bit of my “caring time”?
  • If I were to reflect on the most meaningful ways others have cared for me in my life, what might I add in my journal entry regarding those ways?

On Being Too Professional… Your Attraction Marketing Excellence Quote for Today

– On Being Too Professional –

Attraction Marketing Excellence Means…

**Attraction Marketing Excellence Means...** developing our skills as professionals without becoming way too professional in the process. (© Lee Wise)

And Speaking Of Questions…

  • Do I need to watch being “too professional” by trading way too professional for being way less personal than I should?
  • Am I being too exact and laying aside gratefulness for expected work of those around me?
  • Is always being “always right” becoming and excuse for being way too demanding and less of a team player?

My Own Responses(for my personal business journal)

Renegade University

Affiliate Notations: I am affiliate of many, if not most, of the links and products that I suggest, recommend, or refer to on this site. For example, when I refer to the resources Renegade University and Renegade Professional, I am an affiliate of the organization that supplies those resources for the benefit of so many people. Also, if you see a banner on my site you can almost count on me be an affiliate of that service or product. By way of an example, the banner for the QuanSite that I use and very highly recommend: I am a very happy affiliate. Here's a "safe" way to look at it: just consider links affiliate related. Of course, many are not, but just view it that way for disclosure's sake. It’s really the best of both worlds: I enjoy being free enough to not only recommend a product or service that others may benefit from but also to have the potential of earning funds from the same resource. Cool.
