Attraction Marketing Excellence — Adding The Care Factor To The Business Of Business

Attraction Marketing Excellence Caring Leadership

Attraction Marketing Excellence:

Adding The “Care Factor”

To The Business Of Business

While Writing An Online Friend…

As you know, I am a writer, enjoy the journaling process, and also the blogging process as an attraction marketer.  All that to say that as such, there are times when I like to “capture the moment” and just put up a blog post because something comes to mind or touches my heart while I am in the process of doing whatever “it” is.

That just took place.

While sending off a personal note to Dr. Mani — an online friend of mine I have been fortunate enough to interact with on a personal level for a number of years — I experienced one of those “enjoyable pauses” we experience during any given day.  (See my “Giving Back” page for more on Dr. Mani’s work).

My enjoyable pause followed my sending personal note off to Dr. Mani about my appreciation for the example he has been to me over the years — and especially in some recent interactions with him which took place.  While I am not going to share the entire content of my interaction with him, I will share a glimpse of that note of appreciation.  I thanked him for…

“Being an inspirational example as you add in ‘the care factor’ to your business and your business teachings as you instruct or mentor others.”

That’s It!  ”The Care Factor”

Upon the completion of my expression of gratitude, “the care factor” immediately came to mind relative saying a few things about it on this blog.

Was it one of those “follow your heart” moments?  Possibly. Or simply something that I found myself desiring touch on once again? Not sure, but I decided to move forward and create the post!

Maybe in relationship to the topic of attraction marketing or working at home, you could assign the topic “extra care” as it relates to our marketing efforts.  That is, caring being in addition to the normal caring for the the customer.

I am referring to the concept here as…

Intentionally adding in another level of ’service’ to others in our marketing and business pursuits.

That “adding in” could be…

  • It could be a blog post like this to serve as a very, very low key reminder or emotional “prompt” to consider the process.
  • Pointing people to a charity you support — such as World Vision — in an email, in a blog post, or possibly creating an article to be include in an article directory.
  • Being a driving force for something like Dr. Mani’s Heart Foundation to help save the lives of children or Rick Beneteau’s Internet Toy Drive that he heads up each year.
  • Etc., etc., etc.

The point being…

  • An intentional,
  • “Added something,”
  • Of value or worth (above normal customer care),
  • To our various business efforts.

Reflecting.  Responding.

  • What ideas come to mind as you think about the “added care factor” relative to our online and offline efforts?
  • By chance have you been “kicking the tires” relative to testing out an idea of yours to bring help, healing and or hope to some group of people in your field of influence?
  • Have you seen anyone reflecting this type of effort that you could let them know of your gratefulness for their efforts?

You fill in the blanks!

Your creativity, care for others and desire to live an on purpose life will no doubt usher in a flow of additional ideas, reflections and/or action steps that you will decide to take.

All The Very Best To You!

May you and those you love and care for experience a meaningful remainder of this day,

Lee

Staying On The Grateful Side Of Life

Staying Grateful!

Staying On The Grateful Side Of Life

Deciding to take advantage of the weather and the convenience of my laptop computer, I ventured out to the deck in the back of our home, opened up the file for this year’s journal, and proceeded to copy and past this phrase into its proper place:

My gratefulness journal for today…

Several moments later my entry looked similar to this one:

My gratefulness journal for today…

  • So grateful for Sherry… same “song,” millionth verse, lol!
  • I think I will say “the deck” again.  I decided to come out and record a few things because I understand in an hour or two thunderstorms may come our way.
  • Music.
  • Very grateful for Coaching Cognition.
  • The Lord.  So “simple,” but where on earth would I be without Him?

Enriched Because Of A Small, “Make It Happen” Choice

Several months earlier I made the choice to create the phrase “My gratefulness journal for today” with a goal of completing a personal gratefulness exercise at least once a week.

I am happy for my choice. Actually, I would use the term enriched.  Enriched because of…

  • The simplicity involved in making it happen.
  • The rewards of doing so.

On The Value Of Being Grateful

Not long ago I not only prayed this prayer but wrote it down for others to see:

Father, may my eyes see

what my heart should in gratefulness feel this day.

PrayingSimple by © Lee Wise

I share this with you here not because I expect you to approach gratefulness from a faith based perspective, but to state how I personally feel about our need to cultivate gratefulness in our lives.

Gratefulness, in my mind, touches so many aspects of who we are and who we choose to become.

For instance, I did a search for some of my own thoughts on the subject and below may be found only several of the ideas I created in recent days:

  • Wisdom – embedding images of beauty in the mind by constantly revisiting them with a joyful and grateful heart. © Lee Wise
  • As encouragement inspires hope so gratefulness cultivates the expressive heart of an encourager. © Lee Wise
  • In gratefulness I see better and in seeing better I acquire more for which I am grateful. © Lee Wise

Note that my thoughts about encouragement, wisdom and perspective found their way into what I might call my own sphere of “gratefulness thinking.”

Yes, And Your Point Is…?

My point…

Our decisions to cultivate and promote the gratefulness habit in ourselves and in the lives of other people are decisions that count for something good in a world where not all is good all of the time.

  • Our “gratefulness habit decisions” count for us,
  • And they count for those we influence.

Okay, Lee.  How Would You Define “The Gratefulness Habit”?

Let’s try looking at the practice of being grateful as something like this:

The Gratefulness Habit

The decisions I make to see all the good I can,

As consistently as I possibly can,

For the internal health of myself

And those within my circle of influence.

© Lee Wise

What It Does

In my opinion, the ongoing development of the gratefulness habit can:

  • Help us bring things into perspective.
  • Help us … or “force” us… to stop and look at things in a positive light.
  • Slow us down and cause us to push our internal pause button and to do so for a good reason.
  • Prompt us to look outside of ourselves instead of only at ourselves.
  • Lead us to others for the purpose of helping or thanking them in some way.

Questions For Influence.  Questions For Life.

  • Should your child (older or younger) want to know how you personally stay on the gratefulness side of life, how would you answer them?
  • On the way to an internet marketing conference a friend of yours — one of the speakers — calls and says: “Say, I need someone to fill in a ‘bullet point’ ten minutes time frame on a topic to help everyone: at topic like gratefulness for instance.  I know it’s short notice, but can you step in and fill in the gap for me?”  Assuming you answer in the affirmative, what would you say?
  • While interacting with your personal coach about a seeming gap between your goals and your reality, she states: “Now tell me, what positive points are you seeing in your life right now.”  How would you respond?
  • What part does gratefulness play in your life, business, or in your mental or physical health?  Assuming you could record a great variety of ways — and assuming the question began your thinking — does anyone come to mind you should share any of your responses with?
  • Do the important people in your life — those for whom you would say you are extremely grateful — would you also say they most assuredly would know of your feelings?

Using the Power of Five to Enhance Your Life

The Power Of Five!

Using the Power of Five to Enhance Your Life

Either actually — or in your mind — I would like you to scan an area of your choice: preferably a work area such as a home office or something similar.

Not, yet however!

I want you to take a mental scan of your area choice from a very specific vantage point.

Scan With This Perspective

Survey your location with this perspective in mind as you do:

”As I scan my ____ (office, work space, etc.) what ‘productive something’ could I do in five minutes?”

  • Not the next five minutes.
  • Any five minutes.

It could be anything.

  • Calling someone,
  • Putting a file folder away,
  • writing yourself a reminder
  • Or taking a refreshing five minute read.

It just needs to…

  • Take under five minutes
  • And in your mind it should be “a productive something.”

That is, the action should carry with it a sense of emotional worth; some level of emotional significance.

Ready? Go!

Now Here’s What I Like About What You Discovered

Assuming you really did what I asked, you just experienced “the power of five” in your life.

You identified that which was…

  • Doable.
  • By design.
  • Held some level of meaning for you.
  • And could be accomplished in five minutes or less.

“Nice!”

I say “nice,” because of the simplicity and power of what that simple exercise could mean for you at times.

  • You choose the time.
  • You choose the focus.
  • And you “go for it” for only five minutes of your time during any given day.

As you are mulling this over in your mind, allow me to repeat what I mentioned seconds ago.  This is…

  • Doable.
  • By design.
  • Can hold some level of meaning for you.
  • And is accomplished in five minutes or less.

Brainstorming With An Open-Ended List

Expand your imagination about a variety of tasks or activities that could be accomplished in five minutes or less.  What I am terming “productive something” moments.

Travel down the ideas below.  Add your own.  Be creative.  And try it!

If you thought through various concepts or categories, what might come to mind? Categories such as the ones below (or others you discover during your short journey down the page).

Organization

  • What could you organize?
  • Could anything be put away?
  • Any clutter be cleaned up?
  • What about labeling a file folder and filing a piece of information?
  • Dusting maybe?

And your ideas would be…?

Inspiration, Motivation Or Refreshment

  • In five minutes or less, what could you bring into your world or call to your attention that might inspire you, motivate you or bring a moment’s refreshment into your busy day?
  • Do any books come to mind?
  • How about a song, picture or object of some sort?
  • Yoga, deep breathing, stretching, pushups or five minutes of other exercise?

And your ideas would be…?

Ideas

  • Could you have an “idea break”
  • Fun ideas, business ideas, family ideas, etc.  Think ideas by “category” as those I just mentioned for you.

And your ideas would be…?

Blessing Others

  • What could you do in five minutes or under that would encourage or bless someone?
  • Send a note, give them a call, send a text?

And your ideas would be…?

Stopping And Slowing Down

  • Could you meditate or reflect?
  • What about writing only one thought in a journal?
  • Could you stop long enough to enjoy something small?

And your ideas would be…?

Be Creative

  • Could you create a quote, or thought to use for training others?
  • What about reviewing a quote that meant something to you?
  • And what about looking for a cool place to take your husband or wife?
  • Could you find a picture of that blog post you will create later?
  • In five minutes or less could a meaningful personal affirmation be created… or at least begun?
  • Write down one idea for that next article.  It doesn’t have to be 50 ideas, right?  Not now.  This is just your “power of 5” time! Could you?

And your ideas would be…?

Bring Something To “Completion”

Would you consider bringing part of task to a close? Do it!  Wrap it up, shut it down, and bring that part to a close!

You Got It!

By this time — in the even that you stuck with me this far, lol — you totally get the idea!

  • Doable.
  • By design.
  • Holding meaning for you.
  • In five minutes or less!

Affiliate Notations: I am affiliate of many, if not most, of the links and products that I suggest, recommend, or refer to on this site. For example, when I refer to the resources Renegade University and Renegade Professional, I am an affiliate of the organization that supplies those resources for the benefit of so many people. Also, if you see a banner on my site you can almost count on me be an affiliate of that service or product. By way of an example, the banner for the QuanSite that I use and very highly recommend: I am a very happy affiliate. Here's a "safe" way to look at it: just consider links affiliate related. Of course, many are not, but just view it that way for disclosure's sake. It’s really the best of both worlds: I enjoy being free enough to not only recommend a product or service that others may benefit from but also to have the potential of earning funds from the same resource. Cool.
