Questions For Excellence – Creating Safe Environment Skills

Life Coaching Asking Questions Attraction Marketing

Questions For Excellence…

Our “Creating Safe

Environments” Skills

Excellence For Business.

Excellence For Life.

This is fourth in a series based on my responses from Kendall Sylva’s excellent article on The Coaching Mindset.  Following my read of that article, I summarized a list for me to grow as a person and as a life coach, and posted those questions next to my desk for review, inspiration and my own self growth and development.

As I have mentioned in this series, I feel these questions may help whether you are:

My Question For You Today…

“How Can I Practice

Creating Safe Environments

For People?”

We often need places of physical, spiritual and emotional refuge in our lives.  Maybe several of your own stops at such places will come to mind as you read this quote:
Safe Places
Places of refuge
we seek, welcome
and at at times run to
for acceptance, affirmation and
encouragement during the journeys of our lives.
© Lee Wise
Safe environments can help to heal hearts, give hope to the hurting, encourage the timid and inspire the victorious. Active listening, questioning while the heart is in tune to the needs of another person, “broadcasting” relational messages of acceptance or affirmation, and a variety of other signals we send can offer precious moments of being in a “safe place” for others.
  • Places that care.
  • Places where the agenda includes us instead of excludes us.
  • Places where the power of relationship means more than the urgency of an agenda.
  • Places of hope instead of demands.

We need such places. Think about it:

  • Suppose you took a day — just one day — to think about being or becoming a safe place for those who step into your world. For you, what would have to take place on the inside for that “space” to be created?
  • How might that “safe place” look or feel like should someone call you or even stop in just to say “Hi!”
  • What have “safe places” meant to you in your life? Who gave them to you?  Were they all major times or did the meaningful one include the so termed “minor” times as well?  Chances meetings at a coffee shop, park or while out jogging.  A sudden sincere question “from out of the blue” that caught you right where you needed to be “caught.”  A glance or look that for some reason or another you knew — you knew — you were in the presence of a sincere invitation to “stop on over” and engage in a level of meaningful dialogue.

Your Turn!

  • Take an emotional road trip while reflecting on the thoughts made in the previous bullet points.
  • Now that you are traveling on that road trip, what would you add?  How would you say things in your way relative to the subject of what it means to experience the beauty of being in a safe place with another human being?
  • If you had to give three tips on creating safe places for others, what would they be?  Just three?
  • Are you an attraction marketer, team leader in a network marketing organization, a parent, friend, spouse or life partner that — by chance — may be reading this post and you find yourself realizing that you need to get down to business when it comes to creating a safe place for those you care for?

A Brief Quote To Consider

On Loving People…

Caring for others is an ongoing process
of creating safe environments for people
to enjoy in one form or another
while in your presence.

Questions For Excellence – Our Active Listening Skills

Attraction Marketing Life Coach Listening

Questions For Excellence…

Our Active Listening Skills

Excellence For Business.

Excellence For Life.

If you have been following this brief series, you know that these questions came about following my read of Kendall Sylva’s excellent article on The Coaching Mindset. The six questions I wrote down and posed for myself to consider are located right where I can see them by my computer. I keep them there to use for motivation, inspiration and ongoing skill development. As I mentioned earlier, I feel these questions may help whether you are:

My Question For You Today…

“How Can I Practice Active Listening

And Being ‘In The Moment’ Today?”

Before we begin today’s brief informational and what I hope to be inspirational thoughts for you, I would like you to pause in the reading of this quote:
On True Listening Caring enough to listen, and listening enough to care. © Lee Wise
You may say “that’s simply a play on words.” Could, be; but not for me. What I am speaking about here is a two-fold decision: the decision to listen and the the corresponding heart-felt decision to listen from the heart. In other words…
“To be in the moment as much as is possible for the moment.”
With that quote and the comment above taking backstage in your mental space, think about:
  • The variety of situations you could be practicing the art of listening well for the purpose of caring well in the process: over the phone, meeting someone in store, interacting with a server in a restaurant, while getting a haircut, a quick conversation with a student in a hallway, answering a simple question for someone in your downline, truly listening to someone else’s question on a webinar, or simply pausing enough to hear when in your mind the “pause” may not be really needed — much less something you are looking forward to at the moment. Point being: this “art” can be practiced repeatedly over time.
  • And closely related to the examples given above, the whole idea of using the “short chunks of time” concept to actually design when you might take part in your own caring and self growth activity.
  • And should you happen to come from a faith based background such as myself, I would suggest that you make prayer a part of this process. In fact, click here for an article on prayer that could be helpful to you in that regard.

Your Turn!

  • Remember, as the creative one for your world, this is where could take the time and do a bit of brainstorming: even for three minutes. Seriously, just take three minutes and jot down several responses as to where, when and how you might be able to apply concepts in this post to your own world. Ready… go!
  • If you would like additional ideas, try this: as you are going through the average day simply have the question posted above in the back of your mind and take in the variety of ways your active listening and being in the moment skills could be used: even without doing them at the moment. (And by the way, I have chapter in my book devoted to the gathering of ideas. Yes, that’s a hint, lol!)
  • Should you be in some aspect of online business or business development, you may want to ask yourself how you could use these concepts to train others.

A Brief Quote To Consider

On Active Listening

Being present in heart

just enough to heart the ‘heart speak’

of those you are caring for at the moment.

Questions For Excellence – Our Observing People Skills

Attraction Marketing Life Coach Asking Questions

Questions For Excellence…

Our Observing People Skills

Excellence For Business.

Excellence For Life.

Continuing this brief series, these were my observations from an excellent article on The Coaching Mindset by Kendall Silva. I have these posted directly by my computer to use for motivation, inspiration and ongoing skill development.

Once again, I feel these questions may help whether you are:

My Question For You Today…

“How Can I Increase My ‘Observe People’ Skills Today?”

Think about it:

  • You could be going to the doctor’s office (as I will be in a few short hours) and during that time you could just simple say to yourself “I’m going take a few minutes ‘just to observe.’ I will be a learner.”
  • What could you learn about people — in short “chunks” of time — that would increase your skills in the area of learning from, listening to, enjoying, or helping out people? As yesterday’s post was on taking advantage of the power of story, maybe the two could be combined in some way: i.e. not only listening to someone’s story that you prompted by also increasing in your “people observation skills” in the process.
  • You could learn by segmenting. I used to share with the men in my class to do this: you create a “filter” for the day and watch people according to the filter you create. For instance, one example I gave them was: “Watch dads today in church. Just pay attention to what they do, don’t do, need to do, etc. Whatever: you create what you desire to focus on.”

Your Turn!

  • Reflect on the examples I gave above… and expand on those thoughts. Take them into your world of parenting, network marketing, personal relationships, training, preaching, teaching… whatever. You are creative!
  • In what you already know about people, suppose you were to create an article, post or a teaching session of some sort on “The Top Two Affirming Characteristics I’ve Seen In People”: what would you list? What might you write on? How could you inspire, encourage or be a positive influence in the world through what you have observed and what you would write?
  • Could your observations be the beginning of a “how to” article, blog post, slide presentation or a short video?

A Brief Quote To Consider

On Learning From Others

We learn that we may become better people:

for it is in the art of becoming

that we contribute to our world,

ourselves, and all we seek to influence.

May we become all we can for the purpose of

helping others do the same.

Questions For Excellence – On The Power Of Story

Attraction Marketing Self Growth Online Training

Questions For Excellence…

On The Power Of Story

Excellence For Business.

Excellence For Life.

Recently I jotted down several questions to keep me motivated, learning and growing as a life coach.  These were my observations from an excellent article on The Coaching Mindset by Kendall Silva.

I feel these questions may help whether you are:

My Question For You Today…

“How can I capitalize on the Power Of Story today?”

Think about it:

  • Could I ask others to share their story in a creative fashion? Or, simply ask to hear their stories?
  • What types of questions could I design to bring the positive, life affirming stories of others to the forefront?
  • Could I ask someone to share their story in my teaching, influencing, training, online marketing, or part of my questioning in the context of a coaching time?

Your Turn!

  • Think of a story that has impacted your life.  Short, long, or in between: it doesn’t make a difference.
  • Could it be shared with someone you for encouragement, growth, training, teaching or inspiring?
  • Could it be the beginning of a “how to” article, blog post, slide presentation or a short video?

A Brief Quote To Consider

On The Power Of Stories

Stories can become

someone’s inspiration for today, hope for tomorrow

or learning for the moment.

May we use their such power often,

use it well, and use it for every noble purpose we can imagine.

Two Simple Questions For Non-Simplistic Personal and Business Results

Two Questions Good Business Good Life

Two Simple Questions For Non-Simplistic

Personal And Business Results

While yesterday’s post proposed the use of nine key ideas to consider while relating to our children, today I offer only two questions for you.  Just two? Can you believe it?

The Importance Of Thinking Straight About Myself, My Life And My Business

Following not the best day — or moment — of our online marketing efforts, relating to our spouse or children, or any number of other life events, the questions come.

Fast.  Slow. Or in between, they come.

And for the sake of our example, I will just say that those questions are not positive.

  • We may “evaluate” our abilities
  • Criticize our efforts
  • Call into question our goals
  • Doubt our motives
  • Etc.

You know the routine, right?  If you don’t, I do.

You got it: I am talking about any those high or low quality self sabotaging thoughts that invade the mind, capture the heart, and deliver us to places we don’t intend to go.

But there we are.
Again.

Two Simple Questions That May Help When The Bad Moments Invade Our “Heart Space”

Allow me to give you two “break the flow” questions designed to help set the thinking straight so-to-speak. You will need to carry these where you would like them to “go,” but I believe having these questions ready to release against an onslaught of those emotional wet blanket questions can help to break the effects.

  • Number One: Is this true?
  • Number Two: Is this a nobel thought?

Is This Thought True?

I mean, does this…

  • Really describe what is going on, really?
  • Is this really the whole, right picture?  For real.  Do I always _______ ? Am I actually that type of a person?
  • Does this accurately describe what is going on… or did go on?
  • Simply said: what is truth here?

I believe you get the idea from reading above.  it’s kind of a “ruthless” checking out about the truth of the matter.

And once we know the truth, we can begin to move in the direction we would like to move.

Is This A Noble Thought?

What?  Nobel?  Lee, are you kidding me?

No, I am not kidding.  Could you break into a negative thought pattern regarding whatever it may be that proceeded to invade your emotional space and claim that space for its destructive work by asking yourself…

“Is this a noble thought?”

  • A thought worthy of consideration?
  • A thinking pattern that enhances potential, gives hope or sends encouragement messages to the heart?
  • A high value/high character type thought: you know, a nobel thought?

See?  It just might be a question that could break in and set in motion a pause or an emotional light in the window.

  • Is it noble or of high value?
  • Does it have some “character” to it? Or, will it lead me in the wrong direction for the wrong reason?
  • Is it beneficial, gracious or that which builds worth on the inside?

At any rate, I am quite sure you understand where I am coming from… and where I am going.

This Could Apply

  • As you think about your attraction marking online pursuits.
  • While doing projects for home or your work at home business.
  • When you stop to self assess your blog post, writing project, creating a video or getting ready for a mastermind meeting with your peers.
  • While reflecting on your role as a parent, wife, husband, father or grandparent (in my case, “Pap”!).
  • Etc.

All The Best To You

One more time:

  • Is this true?
  • Is this a noble thought?

Time To Respond

  • Ideas?
  • Positive actions to take?
  • Something to share with someone?
  • Or simply something to truly think about?

On Thinking Right

I work on thinking right

that I may live right

for myself and those who desire

for me to think and live that way!

Staying On The Grateful Side Of Life

Staying Grateful!

Staying On The Grateful Side Of Life

Deciding to take advantage of the weather and the convenience of my laptop computer, I ventured out to the deck in the back of our home, opened up the file for this year’s journal, and proceeded to copy and past this phrase into its proper place:

My gratefulness journal for today…

Several moments later my entry looked similar to this one:

My gratefulness journal for today…

  • So grateful for Sherry… same “song,” millionth verse, lol!
  • I think I will say “the deck” again.  I decided to come out and record a few things because I understand in an hour or two thunderstorms may come our way.
  • Music.
  • Very grateful for Coaching Cognition.
  • The Lord.  So “simple,” but where on earth would I be without Him?

Enriched Because Of A Small, “Make It Happen” Choice

Several months earlier I made the choice to create the phrase “My gratefulness journal for today” with a goal of completing a personal gratefulness exercise at least once a week.

I am happy for my choice. Actually, I would use the term enriched.  Enriched because of…

  • The simplicity involved in making it happen.
  • The rewards of doing so.

On The Value Of Being Grateful

Not long ago I not only prayed this prayer but wrote it down for others to see:

Father, may my eyes see

what my heart should in gratefulness feel this day.

PrayingSimple by © Lee Wise

I share this with you here not because I expect you to approach gratefulness from a faith based perspective, but to state how I personally feel about our need to cultivate gratefulness in our lives.

Gratefulness, in my mind, touches so many aspects of who we are and who we choose to become.

For instance, I did a search for some of my own thoughts on the subject and below may be found only several of the ideas I created in recent days:

  • Wisdom – embedding images of beauty in the mind by constantly revisiting them with a joyful and grateful heart. © Lee Wise
  • As encouragement inspires hope so gratefulness cultivates the expressive heart of an encourager. © Lee Wise
  • In gratefulness I see better and in seeing better I acquire more for which I am grateful. © Lee Wise

Note that my thoughts about encouragement, wisdom and perspective found their way into what I might call my own sphere of “gratefulness thinking.”

Yes, And Your Point Is…?

My point…

Our decisions to cultivate and promote the gratefulness habit in ourselves and in the lives of other people are decisions that count for something good in a world where not all is good all of the time.

  • Our “gratefulness habit decisions” count for us,
  • And they count for those we influence.

Okay, Lee.  How Would You Define “The Gratefulness Habit”?

Let’s try looking at the practice of being grateful as something like this:

The Gratefulness Habit

The decisions I make to see all the good I can,

As consistently as I possibly can,

For the internal health of myself

And those within my circle of influence.

© Lee Wise

What It Does

In my opinion, the ongoing development of the gratefulness habit can:

  • Help us bring things into perspective.
  • Help us … or “force” us… to stop and look at things in a positive light.
  • Slow us down and cause us to push our internal pause button and to do so for a good reason.
  • Prompt us to look outside of ourselves instead of only at ourselves.
  • Lead us to others for the purpose of helping or thanking them in some way.

Questions For Influence.  Questions For Life.

  • Should your child (older or younger) want to know how you personally stay on the gratefulness side of life, how would you answer them?
  • On the way to an internet marketing conference a friend of yours — one of the speakers — calls and says: “Say, I need someone to fill in a ‘bullet point’ ten minutes time frame on a topic to help everyone: at topic like gratefulness for instance.  I know it’s short notice, but can you step in and fill in the gap for me?”  Assuming you answer in the affirmative, what would you say?
  • While interacting with your personal coach about a seeming gap between your goals and your reality, she states: “Now tell me, what positive points are you seeing in your life right now.”  How would you respond?
  • What part does gratefulness play in your life, business, or in your mental or physical health?  Assuming you could record a great variety of ways — and assuming the question began your thinking — does anyone come to mind you should share any of your responses with?
  • Do the important people in your life — those for whom you would say you are extremely grateful — would you also say they most assuredly would know of your feelings?

Using the Power of Five to Enhance Your Life

The Power Of Five!

Using the Power of Five to Enhance Your Life

Either actually — or in your mind — I would like you to scan an area of your choice: preferably a work area such as a home office or something similar.

Not, yet however!

I want you to take a mental scan of your area choice from a very specific vantage point.

Scan With This Perspective

Survey your location with this perspective in mind as you do:

”As I scan my ____ (office, work space, etc.) what ‘productive something’ could I do in five minutes?”

  • Not the next five minutes.
  • Any five minutes.

It could be anything.

  • Calling someone,
  • Putting a file folder away,
  • writing yourself a reminder
  • Or taking a refreshing five minute read.

It just needs to…

  • Take under five minutes
  • And in your mind it should be “a productive something.”

That is, the action should carry with it a sense of emotional worth; some level of emotional significance.

Ready? Go!

Now Here’s What I Like About What You Discovered

Assuming you really did what I asked, you just experienced “the power of five” in your life.

You identified that which was…

  • Doable.
  • By design.
  • Held some level of meaning for you.
  • And could be accomplished in five minutes or less.

“Nice!”

I say “nice,” because of the simplicity and power of what that simple exercise could mean for you at times.

  • You choose the time.
  • You choose the focus.
  • And you “go for it” for only five minutes of your time during any given day.

As you are mulling this over in your mind, allow me to repeat what I mentioned seconds ago.  This is…

  • Doable.
  • By design.
  • Can hold some level of meaning for you.
  • And is accomplished in five minutes or less.

Brainstorming With An Open-Ended List

Expand your imagination about a variety of tasks or activities that could be accomplished in five minutes or less.  What I am terming “productive something” moments.

Travel down the ideas below.  Add your own.  Be creative.  And try it!

If you thought through various concepts or categories, what might come to mind? Categories such as the ones below (or others you discover during your short journey down the page).

Organization

  • What could you organize?
  • Could anything be put away?
  • Any clutter be cleaned up?
  • What about labeling a file folder and filing a piece of information?
  • Dusting maybe?

And your ideas would be…?

Inspiration, Motivation Or Refreshment

  • In five minutes or less, what could you bring into your world or call to your attention that might inspire you, motivate you or bring a moment’s refreshment into your busy day?
  • Do any books come to mind?
  • How about a song, picture or object of some sort?
  • Yoga, deep breathing, stretching, pushups or five minutes of other exercise?

And your ideas would be…?

Ideas

  • Could you have an “idea break”
  • Fun ideas, business ideas, family ideas, etc.  Think ideas by “category” as those I just mentioned for you.

And your ideas would be…?

Blessing Others

  • What could you do in five minutes or under that would encourage or bless someone?
  • Send a note, give them a call, send a text?

And your ideas would be…?

Stopping And Slowing Down

  • Could you meditate or reflect?
  • What about writing only one thought in a journal?
  • Could you stop long enough to enjoy something small?

And your ideas would be…?

Be Creative

  • Could you create a quote, or thought to use for training others?
  • What about reviewing a quote that meant something to you?
  • And what about looking for a cool place to take your husband or wife?
  • Could you find a picture of that blog post you will create later?
  • In five minutes or less could a meaningful personal affirmation be created… or at least begun?
  • Write down one idea for that next article.  It doesn’t have to be 50 ideas, right?  Not now.  This is just your “power of 5” time! Could you?

And your ideas would be…?

Bring Something To “Completion”

Would you consider bringing part of task to a close? Do it!  Wrap it up, shut it down, and bring that part to a close!

You Got It!

By this time — in the even that you stuck with me this far, lol — you totally get the idea!

  • Doable.
  • By design.
  • Holding meaning for you.
  • In five minutes or less!

Three Life-Affirming, Life-Directing Questions

Life Affirming Questions

Three Life Affirming, Life Directing Questions

Common Components Of A Quality Life

It seems to me that a quality life is one that is driven by three components:

  • What is truthful.
  • What is valuable.
  • Heart-felt commitment.
In all of life and in any situation — especially a “high stakes one” —  I must first strive to know what is authentic — or what is true in that situation.
  • Not hype.
  • Not necessarily easy.
  • Not based totally on what I feel or  want to see in the situation.
  • Just what is true.

I must also discover and decide what is most valuable.  That’s based on truth of course.

And finally I must  love what is true and valuable.  That is, I commit myself in a whole-hearted fashion to the pursuit of that which is based on truth and which I value most in life.

The Questions
What Is True?

How many hurt feelings and fights could be avoided if the truth was out in the open from the beginning.

I heard a story in church a number of years ago which illustrates this need.

It was said that a mom was correcting her child.  She had said, “I want you to know that if you come home early from school today again for getting in trouble you are  really going to get it.”

The child did return early and was disciplined immediately.  Following whatever form of discipline or correction had taken place, the question came:  ”So, what did you do this time? “

Then through tears the answer was given: “Nothing, mom. School was dismissed early.”

A sad story, but one that illustrates our need to understand the facts for the purpose of discerning what may or may not be true in a given situation.

What Is Most Important?

When I’m considering changing jobs, giving direction to my child, making serious health-related decisions, or any number of other “high level important stuff,” it is always helpful to know:

  • What I value the most.
  • What will make the most difference.
  • What the real issues are.

A real-life example?

Sure.  When my wife’s mom was dying of cancer she made a simple decision to  do as much as she could  to help her. She knew and accepted the truth: mom was dying.  In a matter of time the relationship here on earth would not continue.

She kept close contact with her (even from a distance), and at the right time went to spend time “just to help and do what I can.”

My wife understood the truth and she made a series of decisions based on her love for mom.  She factored in what was most valuable to her at that phase of her life…

And she acted.

Which leads us to the next point…

What Is My Level Of Commitment?

Once the facts are realized and accepted, and  the degree of importance is acknowledged, a good question to ask is…

What will I commit myself to do at this time in view of what I know to be true and valuable in this situation?

In other words, based on my assessment of the situation, what am I willing to do now?

Generally speaking, the higher my “value level” the greater my commitment will be.

Typically, the “I’ll do whatever it takes” decision is based on what I feel I can do and what I desire to take place with all my heart.

Continuing To Ask…

  • Could you use one or more of the three simple, but not simplistic, questions to assist you in any way at in your business?  What about at home?
  • How might you define what is valuable?  Have you listed your top values and decided to live by those?  Or, if this is a very easy question for you, could you assist others in helping them to identify their most cherished values?

Questions To Direct The Journey Of Your Life

Questions To Direct The Journey Of Your Life

This is a simple, but not necessarily easy, “perspective” exercise.  If you relate to the asking of questions, you will most likely relate to this brief post.

A Bit Of Prep Time

Try to…

  • Slow down a bit before you read.
  • Try, in some way, to get in touch with your heart.
  • If possible, make provisions to respond.  Take notes, record ideas, whatever.

Perspective

  • Use the questions to prompt journal entries.
  • Allow the questions to help you formulate future goals for your life.
  • If you “really get going” on one question… keep going and return.
  • If you find one or more than prove to be valuable for you… share it!  All of us desire to be a positive influence, right?

Let The Process Begin!

On The Artistic Side Of Life…

  • Do you want to achieve any artistic goals?
  • If so, what is it? Do you want to write a book; paint a masterpiece, or write a song?

Thinking About Attitude…

  • Does your own mindset hold you back from making progress?
  • Do you have enough “positive” while keeping the “negative” in the proper place
  • Would you like to be more assertive, encouraging, thoughtful, caring, etc?
  • If you were to name the top 3 most positive aspects of your attitude, what would they be?

Now About That Career…

  • What level do you want to reach in your career?
  • Or, what career changes would you like to make… now or later?  How might you begin?
  • Do you have a desire to be self-employed?  If so, why?  Do your reasons make sense?
  • In your job now: how could be a positive influence?  A “go-giver” as they say?

Let’s Talk About Learning…

  • Is there any knowledge you want to acquire in particular or some area of study that you would like to pursue?
  • At this stage of your life journey, what do you enjoy learning… and why?
  • Are you learning more and applying it less by any chance?  Or, is your learning in balance with the forward momentum?

Family:

  • Are your family relationships what you would like them to be?  If not, how can you make steps to make them different?
  • What positives do you see in “anything family” about your life?  Could you name your top three?  If so, how could you capitalize on those to make your life even better at this moment?
  • How do you define family?

Financial

  • How much do you want to earn by what age in your life? What can you do to make that come about?
  • How are your “financial disciplines?”  Are they propelling you forward or something less than forward?

Physical:

  • What to you means “good health”?
  • What would a level of good health, if you can, allow you to do now… or years from now… that you might shoot aim at doing?
  • Are you where you feel you should, or could be, physically given our set of life circumstances at this time? What changes, if any, do you feel you need to make?
  • If those close to you were to answer the questions directly above, how do you think they would answer them?  Why?

Pleasure

  • How do you want to enjoy yourself and are you enjoying yourself that way?
  • Do you have many “life celebrations” to help you along with your personal and/or professional journey?
  • Are you taking enough time to hear “the heart speaks” of your life?

Service

  • Do you want to make the world a better place by your existence? If so, how?
  • If someone were to ask you, “How would you like to ‘give back?’, what would you tell them?

Review

  • Reflect on one or more of your answers — or the thoughts you have entertained about any of the questions.
  • Do any other questions come to mind?  If they did, why?  Should you pay attention for simply “let it go?
  • What about priorities?  Are any priorities emerging as you review the list?

Let Us Know What You Think!

  • Share below your responses if you feel it would help you or someone else.
  • Or, simply “share to share” if you would like.

Affiliate Notations: I am affiliate of many, if not most, of the links and products that I suggest, recommend, or refer to on this site. For example, when I refer to the resources Renegade University and Renegade Professional, I am an affiliate of the organization that supplies those resources for the benefit of so many people. Also, if you see a banner on my site you can almost count on me be an affiliate of that service or product. By way of an example, the banner for the QuanSite that I use and very highly recommend: I am a very happy affiliate. Here's a "safe" way to look at it: just consider links affiliate related. Of course, many are not, but just view it that way for disclosure's sake. It’s really the best of both worlds: I enjoy being free enough to not only recommend a product or service that others may benefit from but also to have the potential of earning funds from the same resource. Cool.
