Speaking Of Success… An Inspirational Quote

Success Personal Development

“Speaking Of Success

An Inspirational Quote”

First Thoughts…

It matters not within what arena we may ourselves in: we may be...

Any other role that may come to mind.

Whatever we do, however, we will almost inevitably interact about success in one form or another.

We write about it, make plans to see success happen in our worlds, attend conferences for the purpose of gaining or maintaining our desired level of success and no doubt we literally dream about it at times.

What do I, then, hope to add to bring to the table in this discussion?  Answer: a simple quote for yourself and others to…

  • Enjoy.
  • Expand upon.
  • Or quite possibly share with those in your circle of influence.

An Inspirational Quote On Success

Once again, I would encourage you to somehow — in your own manner — enter into your reflective mode as you read the quote.  While I do not pretend it to be one of those life-changing creations, I do believe it could spurn additional thoughts of your own: and that’s that point:

Making it yours.
Being creative in your own right.
Reflecting on how to make it “work” for you in your own world.

And this should help you:

  • Decide to take it in.
  • Review it.
  • And come back to it again for refinement, reflection and possibly action.

** Success **

Changing desires

into desired results

on a consistent basis.

And The Key Points Are?

Desires, change and consistency.
  • Desires: Especially deeply held and felt desires.
  • Change: The obvious goal.  It could be daily, for certain hours, a month, a week or within a year.
  • Consistency: Closely related to personal discipline, this is obviously a key term when it comes to success.
Related Questions On Success
Several questions to assist you in discovering any applications relative to this short quote.
  • What deeply felt desires would I love to make progress on this day, month or year?
  • What changes will I need to make in order to experience the realization of my deeply held desires?
  • How am I doing in the consistency area of life?  Do I need to sharpen up a bit?  How consistent will I need to be, and in what area will I need to be consistent the most, if I am to accomplish the desires I hold so dear?

How To Begin Blogging: Thinking About Your Takeaways

How To Blog Attraction Marketing Excellence Blogging

“How To Begin Blogging:

Thinking About Your Takeaways”

First Thoughts…

Having reflected on why you desire to blog, and visited other blogs you enjoy with a purpose, another aspect you will want to consider is “the takeaway factor.”   Even though this will prove to be a very brief read, I suggest your giving it some thought as you continue to grow in your blogging efforts.

“What Will My Reader Take Away Today?”

That’s not a bad question to store in the back of your mind as you create your various posts: “What will my reader take away today from what they read?”

Personally, I like the challenge of being trying to create material that is:

  • Short.
  • Simple.
  • To the point.
  • Helpful.
Am I always successful?  You already know the answer to that: “No.  I know I am not.”  But the point is…
  • Short, simple, to the point and helpful kind of “lurks” behind the scenes in my mind as I create material.

Several Suggestions

In terms of creating material that is “takeaway friendly,” I would personally suggest:

  • Using bulleted points (you obviously know I like this one!)
  • Referring to helpful resources as they are appropriate.
  • Using the material of others when it is appropriate.
  • Continuing to use visuals (I know I need growth in this area).
  • Making good use of questions.  Obviously, for myself, I attempt to use questions for the purpose of expanding the reader’s personal response to what is written and, therefore, helping he or she gain from the experience.  Naturally, this can assist you in causing people to make comments about your post as well.
  • Giving summary statements as they “fit in” to your post.
  • Using or creating brief quotes.

Speaking Of Questions And Comments…

  • If you were to name the top two aspects of a good “takeaway post,” in terms of your own experience of reading what others have to say, what immediately comes to mind?  Why?  And how could you capitalize on your answers in terms of your own writings?
  • Next time you walk away from someone else’s post with a great takeaway, ask yourself the simple question: “Why?”  What — exactly — caused you to walk away with something helpful, a good feeling or a thought you will tend to remember?  And the key word here is exactly.
  • “What can I imitate or improve upon?” Always a good question to have in the back of our minds as we review what we appreciate about others.
Since This Is A “Takeaway Post,” I Should Ask Once Again…
  • Your “take aways” from this post would be?
  • Should you record any notes — immediately?
  • Do any blogs come to mind that to you represent a great blog that always has a quality takeaway or two?  If so, why do you feel that way… specifically?
  • If you had to give someone 3 top tips of your own relative to designing a great “takeaway post,” what would you name?

All The Best To You!

Naturally, in a post such as this I would especially hope that you would leave feeling you have gained at least something to assist you. If you have: great!  I am very grateful.

Either way, I wish for you and those you love the a most enjoyable week!

Lee

Defining Our Purpose. Refining Our Lives.

Success On Purpose Purpose In Life

“Defining Our Purpose.

Refining Our Lives.”

First Thoughts…

Dealing with topics related to the direction of our lives, life purpose, and our values are issues of tremendous importance.  May the brief comments below assist you as you continue to refine and live out your own reasons for living.

What’s Your Target In Life?

What’s Your Target for Life?

Targets may signify great importance in your lives.

By way of example…

If we target the completion of a great relationship with the intent of making it work over the long haul: the “win” can hold a huge meaning for our lives and the lives of others.

Should we target the investment of our time, talents and energies into motivating others to join us in the task of giving people in underdeveloped countries safe and clean water to drink, the “win” can be huge in terms of both personal fulfillment and the beginning of a new life for many others.

If we set our emotional sights on hitting the target of helping children read, educating the next generation of leaders, or being the best possible mom or dad, becoming the best salesman in the force, gaining the victory of the life-is-so-fast-and-I-am-going-to-break-out-of-the-race syndrome…

If we set our sights on these and any other heart-felt targets, the benefits to our lives can be enormous.

In the book Success On Purpose by ER Haas and Kent C Madson, the authors use these words quite frequently:

  • Happiness
  • Satisfaction
  • Significance

And they wrap these words around a single “target” which I believe it is important for all of us to pursue:

The identification and and subsequent pursuing

of our purpose in life:

our supreme “target” in life.

With that focus in mind, let me ask you a set of questions to begin our thinking for this New Year (no, I have not “arrived” in these areas: they are good for me to reflect upon as well.):

  • Have I clearly identified my own purpose in life — or various purposes according to my roles — or am I in the process of doing so? Where am I on that journey? Where should I be in that journey?
  • Related to the comment above, have I formulated a personal mission statement to help guide me in the pursuit of the life I desire to live? Would I like to do so? And if so, what would I assign as a target date to begin my effort?
  • If I were to take more than a few moments of my life to think about the words “happiness,” “significance” and “satisfaction” and how they might play out in terms their realization in my life, what journal entries would I make? What insights might I gain in that simple exercise that could move me forward in my experiencing of those most important terms?

The most cherished, heart-felt targets of our lives so often:

  • Set direction
  • Determine behavior
  • Define parameters
  • Reinforce vision
  • Produce desired results

All the best to you in this New Year and all the years to follow in any and all of your individual “target generated” endeavors!

Personal Success

The ongoing process

of becoming who I desire to become

during the many and varied moments of my day.

How To Begin Blogging: Visiting Blogs With A Purpose

Attraction Marketing Excellence Blogging

“How To Begin Blogging:

Visiting Other Blogs With A Purpose”

First Thoughts…

While brainstorming why you desire to blog, you will find it very profitable to visit blogs for the purpose of assiting you in determining how you may want to set up your creation.  How will you write?  What structure will you use, etc?  This brief post is designed to help you continue defining how you will blog.

First: Go On A Blog “Treasure Hunt”

Explore.  Design your own treasure hunt for blogs that you enjoy reading.  As these various blogs are either rediscovered or visiting for the first time, begin asking yourself obvious questions such as these:

  • What types of blogs attract my attention?
  • What was it about a particular blog that “drew me in?”
  • And, once I was “in,” why did I stay there?  Or, why did I leave?
  • What types of statements did you identify with?

Second: Think About Layout

Once you have “landed” on a particular blog, begin to refine your thinking in terms of what you are looking for.  Here, I am suggesting that one of those topics you may want to explore is the layout of the blogs you visit and appreciate.

Try these questions on for size in order to help you move forward.  In my way of thinking, always pay attention to your immediate impressions.  You will hear me mention that again because in my mind it helps to identify both the way you will write and eventually the audience you will attract.

Now about the layout…

  • First: in general, note (I would suggest writing these down) your initial impressions about the layout of the blogs you appreciate and then move on to other areas to consider such as the next few you will read.
  • Presentation order: If visiting several blogs, was there a common way that things were laid out in terms of their order?  Was there some type of succession the writer was using?
  • And what about how the blogs introduced their subjects? How did the blogger “pull you in” (or in the case of the ones you quickly left… what did the blogger do or not do to cause you to leave?)
  • Review the blogs and note how they laid our their points and subpoints.

And What About Length?

I believe that you must think in terms of the length of your posts: at least that is an important one for me.

  • I would take careful note of how long the posts are in general.
  • I would also suggest that you copy a paragraph or two, paste the copy into a document, and discover an average word count per paragraph.
  • And I would definitely do the “copy, paste and count” routine for the average sentence in the posts you enjoy.

And Don’t Forget These…

  • Bullets.  How are they used?  If not, should they have been?
  • And what about numbered points?
  • Then, look for additional aspects such as indentation and centering.
In other words, you are taking time to note how an author you enjoy draws your attention to particular points, words or phrases. Various authors isolate ideas in a variety of ways.  The point of my bringing up this thought is two-fold:
  • To discover what you naturally relate to.
  • To discover what you might easily replicate in terms of your own writing style because of what you naturally relate to or you would “naturally” enjoy improving upon.
So, Your Thoughts Are?
  • Your “take aways” from this post would be?
  • Should you do anything immediately?
  • Do any blogs come to mind — almost instantaneously — that you should get back to and review?
  • Do any of the questions in this post stand out that could help you out now or later?

I Wish You The Best In Your Journey…

Stopping by for the first time? If so, “Welcome!” On a return visit?  If so, “Thank you!” for coming back!  Either way…

May you and those you love experience a meaningful and joy-filled week,

Lee

How To Begin Blogging: Defining Your “Why?”

Blogging Tips How To Blog

“How To Begin Blogging: Defining Your Why?”

First Thoughts…

So, you decided to blog.  Great.  The simple comments below are designed to help you move forward in that important endeavor.  Why do I use the term “important”?  That’s easy: because you it is important to you!

And the first thing to ask you self is:

“Why Do I Want To Blog?”

It may sound simple — and it is — but following your decision to blog, take time to decide on your “Why?”  In other words, take a few moments to refine your personal reason for blogging.  Your “Why?” wil help you in at least two very important areas.

  • It will help you define your content.
  • It will help you set you “blogging limits” (i.e. how much time and effort you plan on putting into your blog)

What do you plan on doing?  What would you like to do?  What would give you the most satisfaction or accomplish your goals in the best possible way?

Below are several thoughts to begin your own brainstorming session.

  • Are you blogging primarily to be a certain type of influence? (And if so, how and for what reason?)
  • Will your blog be primarily for business?
  • Is your blog for strictly personal use?  If so, will it be public or private?
  • Do you wish to train others?
  • Are you planning on being a resource center of one sort or another?

Refining Your “Why?”

In thinking through the reasons for beginning to blog, it may help to think refine your thinking along the way. Responding to these types of questions may assist you in that process:

  • What would give me the greatest joy as I blog?
  • What skill set would I enjoy refining or beginning to develop?
  • How could this blogging experience complement not only one of my greatest joys in life but help fulfill my purpose as well?  Or, on the other side of the coin, could the process assist me in the defining of my purpose?
  • Have I “blogged” and not thought of it as blogging? In other words, what about articles you have written or journal entries you have made?  Could these be the beginning of some of your blog posts?  Even encouragement notes of notes you have taken at a conference: what about those: could they used to help you begin your blogging experience?

All The Very Best To You

Should you be a return visitor or stopping by for the first time, I simply wish the best in all things.  May you and those you love have a wonderful week,

Lee

An Inspirational Quote On Being One

Inspirational Quotes by Lee Wise

“On Being One”

First Thoughts…

It matters not within what arena we may ourselves in: we may be...

Whatever we do, the successful maintaining of our priority relationships is a must.  And to this that end we must strive to be one.

In other words, unity counts.  What I am terming here “oneness”… counts.

When I penned the quote below several years ago my focus was on marriage and things which make a marriage “work.”

However, in reading over the quote, I am sure you could make other applications as well.

An Inspirational Quote On Being One

I may be biased, but I believe that there to be enough “thought material” in this the quote you will read in a less than a few moments, that I would suggest that you…

  • Slow down the pace a bit
  • Read slowly
  • And read reflectively… allowing that all important “heart speak” to take place.

On Being One

Hearts fused together by love and commitment…

Know the value of fighting for the future,

Accept challenges as a challenge to succeed as one,

Embrace laughter as a moment and a goal,

Endorse the reality of pain,

And anticipate the joy of knowing

they will win as a team in the end.

Taking Time To Take It In...

Taking time to take it in, here are a few thoughts that may help you in the reflection process…

  • How am I doing in the “love and commitment” area?  Would I give myself a passing grade at this stage of my life?  And if I am, does anyone come to mind that I could encourage, support or help in any way regarding those two areas of life?
  • And speaking of knowing the importance of fighting for the future — whether in personal or business side of life — what lessons have I learned along the way?  Could I summarize any of them in one or two words — or short phrases that I could use in training or helping others?
  • All of us face business and relationship challenges in our success journeys. If you were to name three things to avoid — and three things to make sure you practice — what would you name? And, are these worth recording in your journal?
  • And what about “the laughter factor?”  How are we doing on that end?  With your wife, children, friends, personal life or business partners?  How goes it?
  • The pain factor assaults us in some many, many ways.  Are we using pain to unite instead of separate, to mold hearts and mend wounds instead of shredding the relationship into a variety of hurtful pieces?  If you had to share with someone you top two tips for dealing with the pains of life, what would they be?
  • And “winning as a team.”  I can’t even begin to share with you how much this mental framework is necessary for winning the longevity relationship game.  How would you say you are doing in that regard?  Is winning more important than winning as a team or is simply winning trumped by the deeply held desire and value of winning as a team?  In my opinion, how anyone answers that question is extremely important.

All The Very Best To You!

May you and those you love and care for experience a meaningful remainder of this day,

Lee

Attraction Marketing Excellence – 7 Ways To Leverage Your Unique Content

Attraction Marketing Excellence

“7 Ways To Leverage Your Unique Content”

Wisdom From Dr. Mani

Today’s guest post is from one of my favorite persons, Dr. Mani. I have referred to him on this site, and you can see his organization on my page entitle “Giving Back — People Making A Difference.”  Dr. Mani knows about living for a cause, “making it” online, and helping others to do the same: especially in the area of information marketing.

I received his email today with a title that read “How To Leverage Remarkable Content,” read it, quickly sent off a note to him saying…“This is a great article: can I use it a guest post on my blog?,” and he gave me the proverbial thumbs up.

Lots of good stuff here: enjoy!

“How To Leverage Remarkable Content”
by Dr. Mani

Once you’ve created fascinating content, it isn’t enough to just sit back and wait to be discovered!

Your top-class content may never be found… unless you spread word about it first.

There are many different ways to do this, and in my 115-page guide, “Think, Write & Retire!” I teach them to infopreneurs in great detail.

Tips And Tricks

Here are some tips and tricks to syndicating your content far and wide, so that you create that initial buzz which can then intensify and spread even wider.

1. Post it to article directories

If you’ve written a fantastic article, submit it to EZINE ARTICLES (www.EzineArticles.com), and a handful of others like:

* Buzzle.com

* IdeaMarketers.com

* GoArticles.com

* ArticlesBase.com

Want to get even wider exposure? Consider using a service like ‘Unique Article Wizard’ to get your article automatically sent to hundreds of directories, from where other web publishers can pick it up and use – thereby sending you traffic.

2. Publish it on blogs

You’ve got a blog, right? Publish your article on it, with a link to your opt-in page, or sales letter.

But don’t stop there. Send it to other top blogs in your niche, and give permission to the blog owner to use the content, if they want to. If they accept guest posts, send them your own article (re-written to fit the blog’s style) as one.

3. Reprint it on authority websites

No matter what niche you’re involved in, you’ll find popular websites you could send your articles to for publishing. As long as you’ve created a useful, content-rich piece, quite a few website owners will be happy to use your content, with a link back to your site.

4. Convert it to a PDF

Your article is typically in text format. Make a PDF (portable document format) file of it, using free online resources like www.YouConvertIt.com

You can then submit it to ebook directories like:

* eBookDirectory.com

* GetFreeEbooks.com

* Free-Ebooks.net

There are many more, including some niche directories that may be a better fit.

Also, submit the PDF version to other document directories like:

* Scribd.com

* DocStoc.com

* DocShare.com

Make sure the PDF has links back to your website (opt in page or sales page), so that these high traffic resources will funnel some of their visitors to your site.

Just this one simple tactic can bring you hundreds of visitors, and this grows with every new ebook/PDF you submit.

5. Make a Video

Any article can be converted into a video, without getting too fancy. Just film yourself reading your article aloud, or add a slideshow of some images relevant to your niche, which will run in the background while you quote from your article.

Some people even make slide shows of the article content!

The important part, however, is to then submit the videos you create to the various directories, each of which will give you a link back to your site, and send traffic your way.

A free tool that you can use is:

* Tube Moghul – tubemogul.com

A more robust paid version is Traffic Geyser

6. Create an Audio version

A simple audio recording of you reading out your article can give you extra exposure to a new stream of traffic.

Podcast directories will accept your submission of this audio version of your article. By having a series of such audios, you could have a channel set up on a niche topic.

7. Design PowerPoint Presentations

Many articles can be converted into a Power Point presentation, which again allows you to submit it to new resources like:

* SlideShare.net

* AuthorStream.com

* SlideBoom.com

Whew! Did you even know of these 7 ways to extend your reach after creating remarkable content?

Yes, it’s hard work and takes time. But think about it this way. You’ve spent time and invested energy (or cash) creating top class content. You profit in proportion to how many people consume your content.

So, why leave potential traffic on the table by doing only the bare minimum – after you’ve already done the hardest part of the job, by creating killer content?!

You could literally be getting 10 times as much traffic from every article you write, every piece of content you create, if you are diligent about milking the most value from it.

Try it and see.

Oh, and I almost forgot. With the potential to ‘go viral’ by word of mouth thanks to the power of social media networking, your efforts may potentially pay off ONE HUNDRED TIMES more!

Don’t back down so close to the tipping point.

Push harder, and get over the hump – when the ride downhill becomes easier, faster, and far more exciting!

Attraction Marketing Excellence – On Giving Water To People Who Need It

Attraction Marketing Excellence

“On Giving Water

To People Who Need It”

It’s All About Making An Impact

You might ask: “What on earth does giving water have to do with attraction marketing or any kind of online business?”  And I would answer that it flows naturally from your sharing with others about who you are, your values and how you plan on forging ahead as you strive for success in both life and business.

In an earlier post I stated that “We Do Leave Something Behind” when I was talking about creating and leaving our legacies to world in which we live — and which we will leave someday.

Very recently, we learned about charity:water and decided to create a time sensitive campaign (92 days left as of this posting date) to help raise water in developing nations.  The name of our campaign is 5 Bucks For 10,000.

5 Bucks For 10,000

Let’s talk about water for a moment.  (Facts I learned from charity:water).

  • Right now, almost a billion people on the planet don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water. That’s one in eight of us.
  • The UN predicts that one tenth of the global disease burden can be prevented simply by improving water supply and sanitation.
  • Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.

How Just 5 Bucks Can Help

When we learned about the possibility of developing our own campaign to provide drinking what for the developing nations, we decided to create a campaign that was simple, doable and, therefore, helpful to many.

Now stop and reflect on

  • One $5.00 Dollar gift = doable.
  • 2,000 people giving one $5.00 gift = doable.
  • The result: $10,000! (And that’s not bad for being doable don’t you think?).
Responding. Reflecting. Deciding.
  • Would you consider giving Just 5 Bucks to something like this?  No guilt trips here: none in the least.  If you can and heart says “move on it,” fine.  If not, that’s fine as well.  All of us give as we feel we can and according to the leading of our hearts.
  • Another possibility would to sharing the campaign with others: know of anyone you could share it with through an email list, Twitter or Facebook?
  • Returning to the subject of giving back or leaving a legacy, did any ideas come to your mind about how you might either “give back” or complement your desire to leave a positive legacy in a positive way?
  • This brings up the subject of values.  If you happen to be in business of some sort, what advice would you give to someone about identifying and living by their most cherished values while in the process of being involved in something like attraction marketing for instance?

All The Very Best To You!

May you and those you love and care for experience a meaningful remainder of this day,

Lee

Attraction Marketing Excellence – 6 Days Of Personal Development Tips

Attraction Marketing 6 Days Of Personal Development Tips

Attraction Marketing Excellence

6 Days Of Personal Development Tips

Personal Development: 6 Days Worth Of Tips From 8/1 to 8/5

Check out these personal development — and, therefore — attraction marketing or internet marketing tips for the first five days in the month of August.  Obviously, I am still catching up on putting together these summaries from Attraction Marketing Excellence. I trust these will be beneficial to you.

My suggestions for your personal development and/or advancement in your attraction marketing excellence process remain essentially the same: take time as you review these titles.

  • Prepare: assume you will get ideas.  I am not saying they will all be positive.  You think: “Good grief, I would not have said it that way?”  Let that be a positive idea for anything relative to your own forward motion.
  • Take a quick mental review of your personal interests at this time and quickly browse through the list: see what grabs your attention.
  • As I say often, I would suggest that you listen to your heart as you do.  We gain so much by listening to our hearts and paying attention to what’s going on inside.
  • Naturally, think about others who may be influenced through the ideas or reflections that come to mind.  Why not capture an idea for later?

Today’s  Summary

Desire To Be A Positive Influence?

  • I would say that a common feeling residing in the hearts of most people could be stated something like this: “I want to be a positive influence or make a difference in my life.  It doesn’t have to be ‘big:’ just meaningful.”
  • I was encouraged by this simple statement of a commenter: “Wow! Great post Lee!”
